Bath cabinets
When you install a vanity, consider your options for bath
cabinets. Traditionally bath vanities used cabinets to hide the plumbing
fixtures beneath them. However today's vanities allow for a more modern
aesthetic.
If open space is your thing, you can buy a vanity that has no bath
cabinets beneath it. Instead, you can get open exposed shelves. If you
want to go one step further to express your minimalist tastes, purchase
a marble or granite top and leave the underside completely empty.
Of course, bath cabinets can store bathroom accessories. Also, you
can save money by buying bathroom supplies in bulk and keeping them
in your cabinets. However, if you choose not to have cabinets as part
of your vanity, make sure you hire an interior decorator to advise you
on how to hide the pipes that will connect your sink.
