Quartz vanity tops are made from what is called “engineered stone”. These vanity tops are made from pulverized quartz which has been bonded back together using an epoxy. As a general rule, these surfaces are about 93% stone, with the remaining 7% being the epoxy. Quartz vanity tops can be manufactured to match nearly any décor and/or color. In fact, the variety of colors available, combined with its durability and easy-to-clean characteristics, makes this material very popular. Quartz tops are also relatively easy to shape, which makes them ideal for custom designed surfaces. Quartz vanity tops are a popular alternative to granite tops. They are non-porous, and extremely easy to clean. Because quartz is such a hard material it is incredibly hard to scratch, ensuring many decades of maintenance free service.
