of Solid surface vanity tops.
Solid surface vanity tops are made from an acrylic resin that can be shaped and colored to resemble any number of natural surfaces. Because it is non-porous, as well as stain and chemical resistant, it is an ideal surface for kitchens and bathrooms.
Solid surface materials are becoming more and more popular because of their ability to shaped and colored to match any décor. Many contemporary interior designers prefer solid surface vanity tops because they can be easily customized. Its chameleon-like characteristics allow it to be made to imitate stone, mottled glass, or be dyed to match any color scheme.
Shaping this material can usually be done with simple woodworking tools. The main disadvantage of solid surface vanity tops is that they are not as heat resistant as real stone surfaces. While this is more important for kitchen surfaces, there are some issues to consider within a bathroom setting. Items like curling irons, if hot enough, can sometimes melt this material.
